I went to the dentist today. I pretty much hate going to the dentist almost as much as going to the eye doctor. Just thought I would share. :)

Goodbye Old, Hello New!

Well, I did it! I finally broke down and purchased a new laptop! Last year my mom purchased a new computer and gave me her laptop to replace my desktop that was acting crazy. I quickly fell in love with the portability, and the computer. I LOVED IT! I guess I used it too much and it has been slowly going downhill. Last week the internal battery died, and I got a short in the AC power cord. It would randomly turn off without any warning. I was able to turn it on for short periods of time, if I just didn't move it at all. I was considering purchasing a new AC adaptor and hoped that would make my nice little computer last one more year.
Today I was finishing up my 16 page research paper and it decided it wasn't going to save my work. After having a minor panic attack and calling my sweet momma, I decided I needed to break down and buy a new computer. I headed up to Best Buy, and luckily found the best little salesman who didn't try and sell me anything extra, listened to exactly what I needed and only showed me the computers in my price range. Now I am the proud owner of a new WORKING laptop! :)

Excuse me... Do I have something in my teeth?

Last week I made taco salad for dinner. I have recently discovered that I love black beans, so added them into the yummy salad. After dinner, I had to go and water my plants, and of course didn't check to see if I had anything lurking on my teeth. As I was standing there watering, I noticed that it felt like there was something stuck on my teeth. Just as I was trying to maneuver my tongue to get it out, my new neighbor had come out. Now, I was so focused on watering my plants and trying to get the thing out of my teeth, that I didn't hear him approaching. So when he said, "Hey There!" I was of course startled and just about jumped out of my skin. I quickly recovered and said hi and made polite neighborly small talk for about a minute.
Once back inside, I noticed that the "thing" that had been stuck in my teeth had so kindly freed itself from between my teeth to directly over my left front tooth, and it was the skin part of the black bean. I am sure I gave my new neighbor a great story to tell all of his family and friends about the jumpy girl next door with food hanging out on her front teeth.
