Sometimes all you can do is laugh at yourself....

Today was just "one of THOSE days". I was super tired yesterday so I went to bed around 9:00. I set all of my alarms. I have seven alarm clocks. I slept through all seven so long that 5 out of the 7 had turned themselves off because they had been going off for so long. Soooo, when I finally heard the alarms it was already 6:30. YIKES!!!!!!! I have to be in the car backing out by 6:50 at the very, very latest because of all the crazy, and very unpredictable traffic in my area to make it to work ontime. I rushed around managed to shower, apply my makeup, get dressed, flat iron my hair, and even put a waffle in the toaster all in 20 minutes!!! (Yes, I am amazing, I credit my quickness to the Royal Servants mission trip I took when in HS, but that is a story for another day!)
On my way out the door, I grabbed my waffle, and slopped some peanut butter on the top for a little protein. Ran to the car and was on my way! I was so proud of myself! That's when I looked down only to discover that apparently peanut butter melts when it is applied to a warm waffle. I had Peanut butter ALL over my black shirt and light gray pants. EWWWWW! I was a mess, and too far away from my house to have time to go home and change. Once I got to school I discovered that my school keys were not in my purse, so I must have left them in the car. I also realized that I didn't have my glasses. (I had been wearing my prescription sunglasses earlier). I ran back out to my car and no keys, no glasses. Luckily someone was able to open my door for me! Once in the room, I found my keys hanging in the classroom, and my glasses in the case in my purse. Sigh.........
Then I had to run to the lounge to try and clean up my peanut butter mess. I managed to clean away most of the nastiness, and went to look in the mirror only to see that I had forgotten to iron my pants. You know how sometimes you iron your clothes and then once you sit in the car, they get all wrinkly? But people know that at one time your clothes were ironed. This was sooooooo obviously wrinkled from hanging out in the dryer for a couple of days!!!
Some days, all you can do is laugh at yourself......

Wordful Wednesday

I'm not feelin' the creativity tonight so that's the silly title. I have rambled in past blogs about how much I loved my class last year. Don't worry... I will spare you the sap this time. However, I was working registration at school today and got to see many of my sweet kiddos. I thought I would share one of my favorite pictures from the year. They were so excited to see a real elephant! Love them!

I did it!!!

I did it!!!!! I finished my crazy summer school schedule of 12 hours of graduate classes!!!! AND the best part is I maintained my goal of making an A in every class!!!! YEA ME! I loved all of my classes except one. (But that had a lot to do with the professor) That just further confirms that I know that counseling IS what I want to do! YEA! I love the DBU cohort program. It is great to have the same 10 friends in all of my classes. It was a summer of getting to know them better. So far in the course of a year we have celebrated a wedding, an engagement, and two pregnancies! This next year will be crazy busy getting 300 hours of counseling in addition to teaching and going to class two nights a week. BUT I can see the end in sight! Graduation in MAY! Prepare yourselves for a great big fun party!!!

Wordless Wednesday

Let summer begin!!!!

I officially have completed 12 hours of summer school!!!!!!! This was one super long, super intense summer. I loved 3 out of my 4 classes and know that I really do want to be a counselor so that I can further minister to my students and their families. YEA!
Now I am looking forward to a day at the pool with friends to celebrate that I survived!!!!

Wordless Wednesday!

My friend Jana has a wordless Wednesday, so I thought I would copy her!

Another thing I am not a fan of!

I went to the dentist today. I pretty much hate going to the dentist almost as much as going to the eye doctor. Just thought I would share. :)
